Are board games still worth buying in this day and age?

I’ve been thinking for can you buy prescription drugs online without a prescription a while now on whether I should buy a new Monopoly board game to replace my old one (in which many of its pieces are missing).

But board games seem so dated to me. Do people actually still play with these things? Is it still worth the investment?
